Ann Fields, CPA

In 1986, after being employed in the audit division at Arthur Andersen & Co. for nine years, Ann
established Heatherington & Fields with Jim Heatherington. She continues to specialize in auditing
and accounting.
Education
Ann is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, with a BS in Accounting and received several
honors including Beta Alpha Psi, Beta Gamma Sigma, and a Regents Scholarship.
Areas of Expertise
Ann’s area of expertise includes auditing, accounting and financial reporting for both private and
publicly held companies. Her industry experience includes manufacturing, wholesale/retail, real
estate and construction, mining, not-for-profit organizations including Single Audit Act
requirements, HUD requirements and service industries including partnerships and S corporations.
Ann performs audits, reviews, compilations and agreed-upon procedure engagements including
reviews of existing internal accounting control systems, designing new systems, performing profit
improvement studies, purchase investigations, and forecasts and projection projects. Her talents
include the designing and implementation of accounting and budgeting systems and extensive
experience working with computerized accounting software packages during the installation and
conversion process, including Best Software, Business Works, QuickBooks, ACCPAC and
Peachtree.
Ann has also served as an instructor for the Oklahoma Society of CPAs and the Tulsa Chapter of
OSCPA in accounting and auditing topics.

Ann is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and Oklahoma Society of
Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), having served in the following capacities: member of the
Oklahoma Accountancy Board Peer Review Committee; Board of Directors of OSCPA;
Chairman of the OSCPA Accounting and Auditing Committee; member of the OSCPA Peer
Review Committee; member of the Tulsa Chapter of CPAs and served on the scholarship
committee; Chairman of the Tulsa Area United Way Audit Review Committee; member of the
Tulsa Area United Way Community Investment Steering Committee; member of the Tulsa Junior
League Community Advisory Board.
